Thurgood Marshall Student Programs has a Young Entrepreneur Academy. In it we encourage entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship development in our young people with the understanding that many do not have a mentor that is experiences success in this area at a high level. Dewand’s path is different. He has been blessed with an amazingly caring father who can coach him in football, teach him life lessons, and model the path to successful entrepreneurship. The best part is Dewand has the wisdom to listen. A standout football player in his senior year of high school and a salutatorian with a 3.9 g.p.a. at Anacostia High School. Dewand credits his love for his father and his roll dawg Jalen Gant for his determination to succeed and make them proud.
